The girl is wedged in a deplorable situation she is being forced to get married to her stepmother's brother. With Shiva enjoying every minute of this journey as in paradise, Charu is preoccupied with her problems. As the travel goes forward on a highway, the rowdies are already tracking her. Somehow, being saved by Shiva with his smart driving, he takes a different route to Mumbai only to find other group of baddies chasing them.

The second half opens up with a flashback sequence where Shiva had bashed down the deadliest don of Mumbai (Millind Soman). Rest of the film involves about the journey ending up in Mumbai, the two gangs setting out for a hand-in-hand combat with Shiva and how the scores are ensconced.

God father - part 1 in tamil

"The Godfather" simply put, is one of the greatest films of all time.

As the man starts talking about honor, family, respect, and justice we are pulled right in on his luminous eyes as he stands in near darkness. He begs for justice since the American system has failed him. He goes to Don Corleone (Marlon Brando) for justice. Don Vito is the man of power. He's the one who pulls all the strings and watches his puppets dance from behind the stage and out of sight; untouchable, or so we think. Some of the greatest moments in the film- and very intentional to show the distinguishable difference between Michael and Vito- are of Vito crying over his son, Sonny's (James Caan), death. When Michael learns of the news, he has little reaction. Two of the most emotionally powerful scenes in the film are from the cause of a loved one that has died long before he should have, and they come from Brando. As Vito stands over the body of his son he nearly breaks down. There is clash of feelings between the two men that are never conflicting, but compared.

The film opens during the wedding of Don Vito' daughter, Connie (Talia Shire), and we see just how strong the bond of family really is. You have the family dancing with each other, drinking, laughing, and sitting next to each other to show how close they are, then we see some of the outsiders such as the Barzini family, and surprisingly Michael (Al Pacino) along with his girlfriend Kay (Diane Keaton) on the outskirts without much interaction. Michael seems almost out of place as if he is the adopted son and Tom Hagen (Robert Duvall) is more apart of the family than he is. His opening words are to Kay, and they include, "That's my family, Kay. That's not me."

The final act of the film is loaded with plot points as decisions are made left and right as the film becomes visually and emotionally captivating. As the film draws to an end, Michael has gained half of the power of the family and makes most of the decisions. He's treated, not with respect, but as an outsider, too high ranking for his experience. The Corleone family is on the brink of disaster and losing everything, yet we never get that feeling. We see the two leader's confidence and we keep our confidence in them, even if the other family members doubt their decisions. Michael goes to Las Vegas and makes Moe Greene an offer he can't refuse. Then he refuses. This is Pacino' shinning moment in the film. There's no screaming or the hoopla that goes along with his name. After he treats Moe Greene like utter garbage, Fredo (John Cazale) get's upset and starts barking at him. Coppola is perfectly on his game here, too, as we watch from Fredo's height, looking down on Michael who sits in a chair as he coldly looks up with his radiating eyes, that have so much going on behind them, and simply says, "Fredo, don't ever take sides with anyone against family again. Ever."

Vamsam - Watch it once.

Production: M.K. Thamizharasu
Direction: Pandiraj
Star-casts: Arulnidhi, Sunaina, Jayaprakash, Kishore, Ganja Karuppu and others
Music: Taj Noor
Cinematography: Mahesh Muthusamy

Last week’s release ‘ Baana Kaathadi ’ introduced a new actor Atharva showcasing his potentials in a film that was a cliched romantic tale. On the pars, this Friday’s ‘ Vamsam ’ is based on a hackneyed plot of nativity film that revolves around clashes between few lineages in the village. Pandiraj debuted with an innovative conceptualization in ‘Pasanga’ and this time hasn’t got anything special to offer.
Centered in the backdrops of a distant village in Tamil Nadu, the film delineates about 11 different lineages in the place. Specifically, it revolves around three characters Anbarasu ( Arulnidhi ), Malar ( Sunaina ) and an elder person (Pasanga, Nadodigal fame Jayaprakash) belonging to various lineages. For the next couple of hours, the film touches the lines of conflicts, enmities and settling of scores between these families.
Director Pandiraj made a promising start with ‘ Pasanga ’ that was a wholesome entertainer with fun, frolic and a good message. On contrary, ‘’Vamsam’ spheres into a usual arenas of romance, fun and hostilities. The first half is completely entertaining as the screenplay is very racy and keeps us occupied for 90mins. But the second half turns to be little sluggish as Pandiraj pulls the threadbare narration of a long flashback and predictable climax with an interesting twist.
Arulnidhi takes off with a better start by doing justice to his role. The new actor seems to have taken extra care over projecting himself best on his character.
If he can choose the best scripts in mere future and exceptional roles, he can go ahead adding more feathers to his cap. Sunaina deserves praises as she gets under the skin of her characterization. It’s better and appreciable if she can choose such meaty roles. Jayaprakash spells an overpowering performance as a baddie while Kishore as usual wins the praises. Ganja Karuppu’s comedy tracks are enjoyable.
On the technical parts, Taj Noor’s musical score sounds more loud and vitriolic; especially the background doesn’t match the visuals. Mahesh Muthusamy’s cinematography is bright and top-notching. Editing trivializes the visual enhancements as there are some discontinuities in transition.
Usage of cell phones over the top of trees, project of festivals and describing the qualities of culture and Asin – the cow cupid engrosses the audiences. If Pandiraj had tried to invent something new with the screenplay during second half, the film would have been far better. The filmmaker could have limited himself from establishing his overdosed brilliancies of presenting more infotainment on village, different lineages, newfangled murdering and its pre-n-post dramas.

There were love making and kissing scenes since the story demanded it. But the Censor Board members objected saying it goes against our culture and asked us to delete these scenes. We have removed the scenes as directed. The film is being released on the 11th of this month.”
